Welcome to week four of my Mondayitis blog peeps, I hope that you enjoying it so far. I have been really enjoying writing again and posting on my blog consistently, it’s something that I haven’t been able to do but I am really starting to see the benefits again.
So with that little bit of dribble out of the way, let’s talk a bit of sport.
Coaching Uncertainty Continues.
It is honestly a horrible time to be a coach in the NRL, with a lot of speculation going on with who is going to end up at which club. Before taking any questions at the press conference after his sides to loss to the Broncos, South’s coach Anthony Seibold made a statement saying that what had been said in the media was not true and that he wouldn’t be answering questions about his coaching career. While he was disappointed with reports that he may be on the move back to the Broncos unfortunately this is something Seibold will need to get used if he is to continue in the cutthroat world of coaching.

Trouble on the Northern Beaches
We have seen at times that when things seem to be going tough, some times teams can rise to occasion and get the victory but some times it can be like a horror story. In the lead up to there round 23 match with the Titans at Brookvale I thought that Manly would prove me right and the first half I was pretty happy, fast forward to the mid-way point of the second half and I was thanking the lord that I am not a Manly fan. Channel 9 journalist Neil Breen doesn’t think that Manly will be around much longer and if things keep going the way they are I agree with him.
I’ll start it. They won’t be around in 5 years. Unless they are in Perth or the Central Coast or Central Qld.
On many, many levels, this is a woeful night. Sub-NRL standard on and off field.

Storm Centre Receives 3 match Ban
Melbourne Storm centre Will Chambers will miss three matches after he was cited by the match review committee for a ‘Crusher’ tackle on Eels star Jarryd Hayne. A week after Smith was in the spotlight for what looked like a chicken wing tackle, Chambers was not put on report for the tackle, which is a bit of a head scratcher considering he had done it earlier in game to Eels lock forward Nathan Brown.

Fifita Takes Aim
Andrew Fifita is one of the most devastating front-rowers in the NRL today and his try in the second half against the Cowboys on Saturday night showed why, however we seem to be talking about what happened post try when he pointed towards the coach’s box. While in the post match interview Fifita told Fox Sports that he was aiming his frustration at Sharks assistant coach Jim Dymock, who had told him he had been running soft. Some people didn’t agree, with former player Steve ‘Blocker’ Roach saying on Controversy Corner that Dymock was on the sideline at the time.

White Not Keen at St-Pierre Lightweight Return
Moving on to a bit of MMA news now and UFC president Dana White has shot downGeorges St-Pierre’s dream of being a three division champion after saying he is not interested in matching St-Pierre up with the winner of the Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor fight. St-Pierre is a legend in the sport and if he were to win the Lightweight title then that would only solidify his standing in the sport.
Looking For A Fight
If you are an MMA Promoter and you happen to be reading this thank you but also Heavyweight fighter Ben Edwards is wanting to fight on your card. The Canberran took to Instagram to say that he is ready willing and able to fight in the hopes of getting a contract with the UFC. Edwards is a former K1 Oceania champion who has taken on Alistair Overeem in his prime, if that isn’t impressive then I don’t know what is!

ATTENTION MMA PROMOTERS: I’m really struggling to get matched up at the moment. If there’s any promoters out there that can get me a fight at – 120kgs – 265lbs that makes sense please hit me up, I’m currently standing at 3-0 and I’m good to go. I will be reasonable with purse. I just need 1 more win to get my shot at the UFC and fulfill my dream of being the only person ever to fight in Glory, K1, UFC and be a national boxing champion. Please share! Thank you 😊
Play Of The Weekend
I know that I left this out last week and I apologise for that, I will try not to forget it moving forward. My play of the weekend goes an MMA fighter Ricky Bandejas who TKO’d James Gallagher in emphatic fashion at Bellator 204. Gallagher (a training partner of Conor McGregor) got right in the face of Bandejas at the beginning of the fight, Bandejas however got the last laugh dropping the Irishman with a side kick before following it up with punches for the win.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post peeps and if you have any questions or if there is anything that you would like me to improve just let me know in the comments section.
Until next time.
